Employers in motor transport undertakings must maintain suitable atmospheric conditions in workplaces, provide adequate ventilation to clear smoke, fumes, steam, dust and harmful gases, and protect employees from extreme weather conditions through adjusted working hours, protective clothing, or other suitable free provisions. Where natural ventilation is inadequate or would create uncomfortable draughts, mechanical ventilation must be provided.
