Training officer appointment and reporting requirements govern mine training centres, with limited temporary substitution allowed. Every training centre must have a Training Officer with the qualification and experience specified by the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator. The owner or agent of the mine, or the owner of a common vocational training centre, must appoint the Training Officer, and temporary substitution is allowed only by written authorisation of a suitably qualified person for up to thirty days unless extended with prior written consent. All appointments, changes in service, and temporary authorisations must be reported within seven days.
