Telephone communication for mines must connect rescue facilities, with alternative communication allowed by written approval. Every mine must maintain telephone communication, preferably by wireless communication or telephonically, with the rescue room and rescue station serving that mine. Where no communication system exists, the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator may approve other means of communication by written order, subject to conditions specified in that order.
