Central Government Must Pay for Property on Time or Ownership Returns to Original Transferor Under Rule #
If the Central Government fails to pay or deposit the consideration for immovable property within the specified period after vesting in the property under the relevant provisions, the purchase order is abrogated and the property re-vests in the original transferor. Any time during which a court dispute regarding payment is pending is excluded from this period. Upon re-vesting, the appropriate authority must promptly issue a written declaration of the abrogation and re-vesting, deliver copies to the concerned parties, and return possession of the property to the original transferor or the person in possession at the time of vesting.
