of <h1>Mandatory Submission of Departure Manifests Under Section 41A of Customs Act, 1962, Non-Compliance Penalty Up to 50,000</h1> Section 41A of the Customs Act, 1962 mandates that the person in charge of a conveyance departing from India, or another designated individual, must submit the passenger and crew departure manifest and passenger name record information to the proper officer. This submission must be in the prescribed form, manner, and timeframe. Failure to comply without sufficient cause may result in a penalty of up to fifty thousand rupees. This provision was introduced through the Finance Act of 2017.
