<h1>Customs Act Section 109A: Officers Can Conduct Controlled Deliveries to Identify Offenders in India and Abroad.</h1> Section 109A of the Customs Act, 1962, grants authorized officers the power to conduct controlled deliveries of consignments. This can be done within India or to a foreign country, in coordination with the relevant foreign authority. Controlled delivery refers to allowing a consignment to enter or exit India under supervision to identify individuals involved in offenses or violations under the Act. This provision was introduced by the Finance Act, 2018.
