of <h1>Section 36 Customs Act: Restrictions on Unloading/Loading Goods on Holidays & After Hours, Exceptions Apply with Notice & Fees</h1> Section 36 of the Customs Act, 1962, restricts the unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods on Sundays, holidays observed by the Customs Department, or after working hours. Exceptions are allowed if the prescribed notice is given and any applicable fees are paid. However, no fees are charged for unloading and loading baggage accompanying passengers or crew members, and mail bags.
