<h1>Section 11J of Customs Act mandates notifying storage location for goods over 15,000 within seven days.</h1> Section 11J of the Customs Act, 1962 mandates that individuals possessing specified goods with a market value exceeding fifteen thousand rupees must inform the proper officer of the storage location within seven days. This requirement applies to goods owned, possessed, or controlled on a specified date and to goods acquired thereafter. If goods are to be moved from the declared location, prior notification to the officer is required. Once an intimation is made, no further notifications are necessary unless the storage location changes. Storing goods at an undeclared location beyond seven days from the specified date is prohibited.
