of <h1>New Electronic Portal Under Section 154C of Customs Act Eases Registration, Filing, and Payment for Customs Activities.</h1> Section 154C of the Customs Act, 1962, authorizes the Board to establish a Common Customs Electronic Portal. This portal is designed to facilitate various customs-related activities, including registration, filing of bills of entry and shipping bills, submission of other prescribed documents and forms, and payment of duties. The Board may specify additional purposes for the portal through notifications. This provision was introduced by the Finance Act, 2021, effective from March 28, 2021.
