Customs control over conveyances and goods ensures officers' authority and prescribed handling responsibilities apply in customs areas. All conveyances and goods in a customs area are subject to the control of customs officers to enforce the Act; imported and export goods may be received, stored, delivered, despatched or otherwise handled in a customs area in prescribed manner, and the responsibilities of persons engaged in those activities shall be prescribed.
