of <h1>Customs Officers Control All Goods in Customs Area Under Customs Act, 1962; Finance Act, 2008 Amendments Apply.</h1> All conveyances and goods within a customs area are under the control of customs officers to enforce the Customs Act, 1962. Imported or exported goods can be received, stored, delivered, dispatched, or otherwise handled in the customs area as prescribed by regulations. The responsibilities of individuals involved in these activities are also determined by such regulations. These provisions were structured and amended by the Finance Act, 2008, effective from May 10, 2008.
