of <h1>Customs Act Section 90: Duty-Free Imports for Indian Navy Ships and Crew Supplies with Specific Modifications</h1> Section 90 of the Customs Act, 1962, provides concessions for imported stores intended for the Indian Navy. These stores, specified in sub-section (3), can be used on board Navy ships without duty payment. The provisions of section 69 and Chapter X apply to these stores, with modifications replacing 'exported' with 'taken on board a ship of the Indian Navy' and substituting 'ninety-eight per cent' with 'the whole' in section 74. The specified stores include those for the ship's use and those supplied free by the government for the crew, as per their service conditions.
