Cooperative election oversight establishes centralized authority for multi state society elections with specified appointments, qualifications and tenure rules. Establishment of a Co-operative Election Authority composed of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and up to three Members appointed by the Central Government on Selection Committee recommendation, with head office location notified by the Central Government. Prescribed eligibility requires specified prior ranks for Chairperson and Vice Chairperson and prescribed qualifications for Members. Office tenure is three years or until the prescribed age limit, with reappointment permitted; government servant appointees are ex officio members. Salaries, allowances and other service conditions for non ex officio officeholders shall be prescribed. This replaces prior provisions assigning election conduct to society boards.
