of <h1>Amended Section 45D: Chairperson or Members Can Resign with 30-Day Notice; Effective Upon Government Acceptance.</h1> Section 45D of the Multi-State Co-Operative Societies Act, 2002, as amended in 2023, allows the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, or Members, excluding ex officio Members, to resign by providing a written notice of at least thirty days to the Central Government. The resignation is effective upon acceptance by the government. However, unless permitted to leave earlier, the resigning individual must continue in their role until three months after notice receipt, a successor assumes office, or their term ends, whichever occurs first.
