Disqualification Criteria for Multi-State Co-Op Society Membership Updated in 2023: Business Conflict, Non-Usage, Absenteeism, Payment Default
A person is disqualified from being a member of a multi-State co-operative society under the Multi-State Co-Operative Societies Act, 2002 if their business conflicts with the society's business, they fail to use the minimum specified products or services for two consecutive years, they miss three consecutive general meetings without condonation, or they default on payments required by the society's bye-laws. The 2023 amendment updated the criteria regarding the use of services to specify a minimum level requirement.
