Creditors Can Request Inspection of Multi-State Co-Op Society Books; Must Prove Debt and Deposit Security
The Central Registrar is authorized to inspect the books of a multi-State co-operative society upon a creditor's application. This inspection is contingent upon the creditor proving that the debt is currently due, a demand for payment has been made, and satisfaction has not been received within a reasonable time. Additionally, the creditor must deposit a security sum for inspection costs as determined by the Central Registrar. The results of the inspection are to be communicated to the creditor.
