Multi-State Co-op Society's General Body Holds Ultimate Authority, Can Delegate Powers Per Bye-laws and Rules.
The general body of a multi-State co-operative society comprises all its members, unless the society's bye-laws establish a smaller delegate body to exercise certain powers. The ultimate authority resides with the general body, although the board or officers may exercise powers as conferred by the Act, rules, or bye-laws. Representation at meetings by a co-operative society or another multi-State co-operative society is through authorized officials such as the Chairperson, President, Chief Executive, or a board member. If no board exists, an administrator may represent the society. Institutions represented in meetings must do so through a nominee if specified by the bye-laws.
