Elected Co-op Board Member Can Be Removed for Acting Against Interests; Requires Two-Thirds Vote, Opportunity to Respond Given.
An elected board member of a multi-State co-operative society can be removed if they act against the society's interests. This removal requires a resolution passed by at least two-thirds of the general body members present and voting. The process can be initiated based on a report from the Central Registrar or other means. However, the member must first be given a reasonable opportunity to present their case before any removal action is taken.
