Central Registrar Can Review Decisions Under Section 94; 50% Deposit Required for Recovery Certificate Appeals.
The Central Registrar under the Multi-State Co-Operative Societies Act, 2002, may review decisions upon application from any party concerning specific clauses of section 94. Applications for review are not accepted against recovery certificates unless the applicant deposits 50% of the recoverable dues with the concerned society. Additionally, applications must be made within 60 days of receiving the decision or order, though exceptions may be granted if the applicant demonstrates sufficient cause for delay. This provision was inserted by the Multi-State Co-Operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 2023.
