Central Government directions to multi State co operative societies enforceable to protect public interest and ensure proper management. Central Government may issue binding directions to specified multi State co operative societies when satisfied that such directions are necessary in the public interest, for securing proper implementation of co operative production or developmental programmes, for ensuring proper management of the society's business, or for preventing affairs being conducted detrimentally to members, depositors or creditors; such directions may be issued to a class of societies or particular societies from time to time and those societies are bound to comply.
