Imports and exports are generally free, but remain subject to prohibitions, restrictions, State Trading Enterprise arrangements and conditions under other applicable laws. Importer-Exporter Code registration, prescribed trade documentation, authorisations for restricted goods, Actual User conditions and compliance with domestic standards form core trade requirements. Quality Control Order exemptions for export-production inputs are conditional on export use, undertakings and restrictions on Domestic Tariff Area diversion. Authorisation breaches, export-obligation defaults, non-payment and inaccurate self-certification may lead to regulatory action, including placement on the Denied Entity List.
