of <h1>Standardised letter and permission templates for Export Oriented Units under new Appendix 6N; commissioners can modify, effective now.</h1> Chapter 6 of the Handbook of Procedures 2023 is amended by inserting paragraph 6.41 to prescribe that standard formats for letters and permissions, where not otherwise specified, to be issued by Jurisdictional Development Commissioners to Export Oriented Units (EOUs) shall be as set out in newly notified Appendix 6N. Paragraph 6.41 further authorises Development Commissioners to modify such formats and impose additional conditions, provided these remain consistent with the Foreign Trade Policy and the Handbook of Procedures. DGFT notifies Appendix 6N with immediate effect, resulting in uniform documentation templates for key EOU permissions and administrative actions and enabling consistent, scheme-compliant processing.
