of <h1>Trade authority suspends listed SIONs for specified food products immediately; exporters may use Advance Authorisation under FTP provisions.</h1> The trade authority has suspended with immediate effect the Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) listed in the annex for specified food products, including confectionery, biscuits, biryanis/rice dishes, tea bags, starches, syrups, edible oils, namkeens and related items. Exporters of the affected products may instead seek benefits under Advance Authorisation in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Foreign Trade Policy (paras referenced in the notice). The suspension takes effect immediately for the SION numbers set out in the annex.
