of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: Dept. of Chemicals & Petro-chemicals Exempt from Quality Control Orders for Export Manufacturing.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended Appendix 2Y of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023 to include the Department of Chemicals & Petro-chemicals in the list of Ministries/Departments exempted from mandatory Quality Control Orders for goods used in manufacturing export products. This amendment, effective immediately, allows Advance Authorisation holders, Export Oriented Units, and Special Economic Zones to import inputs under these exemptions. The updated Appendix 2Y now lists the Ministry of Steel, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Mines, and the Department of Chemicals & Petro-chemicals.
