of <h1>Proposed Changes to Wastage Limits for Precious Metals Exports Delayed Until August 31, 2024; Previous Norms Reinstated.</h1> Public Notice No. 05/2024, which proposed modifications to wastage limits and Standard Input Output Norms for Gold, Platinum, and Silver in export items, is placed in abeyance until August 31, 2024. This decision follows representations from the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council and ongoing examinations by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. During this period, previous wastage norms and SIONs as outlined in the Handbook of Procedures 2023 are reinstated. This extension allows for further reassessment of the norms as requested by the council.
