of <h1>DGFT Updates Foreign Trade Policy: Nine New PSIAs Added, Existing Agencies' Areas Expanded, Effective Immediately.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has updated Appendix 2G of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, enlisting nine new Pre-Shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIAs) and expanding the operational areas of six existing PSIAs. The newly recognized PSIAs are authorized to issue Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificates (PSIC) effective immediately, subject to fulfilling certain conditions within 45 days, including updated calibration certificates, valid bank guarantees, and additional documentation. The validity of PSIA approvals is three years. The notice also details the mapping of equipment to specific operational areas for all PSIAs.
