of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: Clubbing Authorizations Extended to 24 Months Under Para 4.36; Imports/Exports Deadlines Adjusted.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended Paragraph 4.36 of the Handbook of Procedures 2023, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. The amendment extends the period for clubbing authorizations from 18 to 24 months from the date of the earliest authorization. Imports must still occur within 30 months of the earliest authorization, while exports must now occur within 48 months. Imports beyond 30 months and exports beyond 48 months will not be eligible for clubbing and must be regularized under Para 4.49. This change aims to facilitate the Advance Authorization Scheme, enhancing ease of doing business.
