of <h1>DGFT updates Appendix-2G, expanding pre-shipment inspection agencies, equipment scope, validity norms and compliance conditions under FTP 2023</h1> DGFT, exercising powers under FTP 2023, updates Appendix-2G to include approvals granted by the 27th Inter-Ministerial Committee, adding two new Pre-Shipment Inspection Agencies and permitting eleven existing agencies to add radiation survey meters and spectrometers. Recognized agencies are authorized to issue online Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificates subject to maintaining valid calibration certificates, bank guarantees, updated equipment-area mapping on the DGFT portal, and registered offices and bank accounts in India. One agency's head office address is amended. Approvals are generally valid for three years, court directions regarding delayed renewals are complied with, and instrument types now determine allocation of operational areas.
