of <h1>DGFT updates eBRC format to capture GSTIN and GST invoice details; revised Appendix 2U applies from 13 January 2026.</h1> Appendix 2U of the Handbook of Procedures, 2023 governing the format for issuance of the Electronic Bank Realisation Certificate (eBRC) has been amended by DGFT to add new mandatory data fields for GSTIN, GST Invoice Number, and GST Invoice Date, with the operative effect of capturing GST-linked invoicing particulars in the eBRC. The existing combined field 'Address/GSTIN' has been modified to 'Address' only, with the operative effect of separating GSTIN reporting into a standalone field and standardising address disclosure. The revised Appendix 2U format applies from 13 January 2026.
