<h1>Tariff Rate Quota allocation under India Nepal Treaty updated: DGFT designated to allocate and monitor imports with electronic TRQ issuance.</h1> DGFT(Hqrs) is designated to allocate and monitor TRQs under the Revised India-Nepal Treaty, authorised to allocate TRQs for copper products and zinc oxide, receive Nepalese quarterly allocation communications, and issue electronic TRQ certificates transmitted to ICES. Importers must apply online via DGFT, upload the Nepalese TRQ reference, import through specified Land Customs Stations, and imports will be permitted only upon electronic debiting in ICES. DGFT will monitor cumulative issuance and will not issue further certificates once the TRQ limit is reached; TRQ validity is up to twelve months or until the financial year end.
