<h1>Composition of offences under Industrial Relations Code allows compounding by Gazetted Officers for prescribed monetary percentages, leading to discharge on payment.</h1> Section prescribes compounding of offences under the Industrial Relations Code by specified Gazetted Officers on application, permitting payment of fixed percentages of maximum fines (50% for fine-only offences; 75% where imprisonment up to one year or fine is prescribed) with the composition amount credited to the Social Security Fund. Compounding is unavailable for repeat offences within three years of a prior compounded or convicted similar offence, and compounding before prosecution bars subsequent prosecution while compounding after prosecution leads to discharge on notice. Officers act under appropriate government supervision and non-compliance attracts an additional 20% surcharge of the maximum fine.
