<h1>Standing orders under the Industrial Relations Code: commencement timelines and employer obligations for maintaining and providing certified texts to workers.</h1> Section 33 of the Industrial Relations Code prescribes when standing orders or modified standing orders come into operation and mandates their availability to workers. Operation occurs 30 days after authenticated copies are sent, or seven days after appellate copies are sent where an appeal was preferred. Employers must maintain the finally certified text of standing orders in prescribed languages and manner for information of concerned workers, with the form and mode of preservation and dissemination to be governed by rules prescribed under the Code.
