of <h1>Contributories' meeting voting weight: resolution passes only with majority in value based on members' voting entitlements</h1> A resolution at a contributories' meeting is deemed passed only if a majority in value of the contributories present (in person or by proxy) and voting cast votes in favour. The 'value' for determining this majority is calculated by reference to the number of votes each contributory is entitled to as a member under the Companies Act or, where applicable, the company's articles, thereby making voting weight depend on members' voting entitlements rather than headcount.
