Affidavit in reply must be filed before the hearing, with same-day service on the objector to ensure notice. Rule 12 requires that an affidavit in reply to an affidavit in objection be filed not less than seven days before the day fixed for the hearing of the petition, and that a copy of the affidavit in reply be served on the day of filing on the person who filed the affidavit in objection or that person's authorised representative.
