of <h1>Defined terms for Companies Act 2013 winding-up rules: Act, Form, Registrar, Registry, and 'Section' to guide interpretation</h1> 'Act' is defined as the Companies Act, 2013; 'Form' as a form annexed to the Companies (Winding Up) Rules, 2020; 'Registrar' as the Registrar of the NCLT or NCLAT, including any other Tribunal or Bench officer assigned the Registrar's powers and functions; 'Registry' as the Registry of the Tribunal, its Benches, or the Appellate Tribunal maintaining records of applications and related documents; and 'Section' as a section of the Act. Words and expressions not defined in these Rules but defined in the Act adopt the meanings assigned in the Act, thereby governing interpretation and application of these Rules in winding up proceedings.
