Mischief by killing or maiming animal: criminal offence attracting imprisonment and fine under the statute. The statute makes it an offence to kill, poison, maim or render useless any animal and prescribes criminal penalties: imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years, or a fine, or both, for committing mischief by such conduct.
