of <h1>Deceiving a Woman into False Marriage for Cohabitation or Sex Faces Up to 10 Years' Imprisonment under Section 81.</h1> Every man who deceitfully induces a woman, who is not legally married to him, to believe that she is lawfully married to him and to cohabit or engage in sexual intercourse under this false belief, shall face punishment. The penalty includes imprisonment for a term that may extend up to ten years and may also include a fine, as stipulated under Section 81 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, which addresses offenses related to marriage.
