of <h1>Fraudulent Destruction or Concealment of Wills or Securities Can Lead to Life Imprisonment or Up to 7 Years</h1> Whoever fraudulently or dishonestly cancels, destroys, defaces, or attempts to do so, or secretes or attempts to secrete any document that is or purports to be a will, authority to adopt a son, or any valuable security, with intent to cause damage or injury to the public or any person, shall face life imprisonment or imprisonment up to seven years, and a fine. This provision addresses offenses related to fraudulent actions concerning important documents and securities under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
