It stipulates that anyone who knowingly harbors individuals about to commit or having recently committed robbery or dacoity, with the intent to facilitate the crime or shield them from punishment, faces rigorous imprisonment for up to seven years and may also be fined. The provision applies regardless of whether the crime occurs within or outside India. An exception is made for spouses of the offenders, who are not subject to this penalty.
