of <h1>Assaulting a woman to outrage her modesty: 1-5 years imprisonment and fine under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.</h1> Whoever assaults or uses criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty, or knowing it is likely to do so, shall face imprisonment for a term not less than one year and up to five years. Additionally, the offender shall be liable to a fine. This provision is part of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, addressing criminal force and assault against women.
