It stipulates that any person who fails to assist a public servant in executing their duties, when required by law, faces penalties. If the omission occurs without a direct demand, the penalty may include up to one month of simple imprisonment, a fine up to 2,500 rupees, or both. If the omission follows a direct demand by a legally competent public servant, the penalty can increase to up to six months of imprisonment, a fine up to 5,000 rupees, or both.
