Common-object liability makes every member of an unlawful assembly criminally responsible for offences committed pursuing the group's common object. Where any member of an unlawful assembly commits an offence in prosecution of the assembly's common object, or an offence which members knew was likely to be committed in pursuit of it, every person who is a member of the same assembly at the time of the offence is guilty.
