Illustrations include deceiving someone into providing credit, selling counterfeit goods, or misrepresenting contract fulfillment. Punishments for cheating vary: up to three years of imprisonment or a fine, increased to five years if there's a duty to protect the victim's interest, and up to seven years if it involves altering or destroying valuable securities.
