Penalty for noncompliance of Central Authority directions: imprisonment or fine or both under the consumer protection framework. Failure to comply with a direction of the Central Authority under sections 20 and 21 is punishable by imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with a fine, or with both, under the Offences and Penalties framework of the consumer protection regime.
