Manufacturers are exempt from liability for inadequate warnings if the product was used at a workplace with prior instructions, sold as a component with necessary warnings, intended for expert use with given instructions, or if the user was impaired by alcohol or unprescribed drugs. Additionally, manufacturers are not liable for failing to warn about dangers that are obvious or commonly known to users.
