District Commission remedies: broad remedial orders including replacement, refund, compensation and injunctions to address defective goods and services. District Commission may order removal or replacement of defective goods, refund of price or charges with interest, payment of compensatory and punitive damages, remediation of defects or service deficiencies, cessation or withdrawal of hazardous goods or services, discontinuation of unfair or misleading trade practices, issuance of corrective advertisement at the opposite party's cost, collective compensation for widespread unidentified consumer loss subject to a prescribed minimum, and award of costs; recovered amounts are to be credited to a prescribed fund and utilised as prescribed.
