<h1>Consumer Protection Act Section 81: Commissions Must Resolve or Continue Consumer Disputes Within 7 Days of Settlement Report.</h1> Section 81 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 mandates that the District, State, or National Commission must pass an order recording the settlement of a consumer dispute within seven days of receiving the settlement report. If the dispute is partially settled, the Commission records the settled issues and continues with unresolved matters. If mediation fails to settle the dispute, the Commission proceeds with hearing all issues involved.
