Investigation Wing centralises investigative authority, appointments and delegation for consumer protection inquiries under the Act. The provision establishes an Investigation Wing under the Central Authority to conduct inquiries and investigations; empowers the Central Government to appoint a Director-General and subordinate investigative officers with prescribed qualifications; places subordinate officers under the Director-General's general control and supervision; permits delegation of the Director-General's powers to specified ranks; and requires submission of inquiries and investigations to the Central Authority in the form, manner and time prescribed by regulations.
