Central Consumer Protection Council: advisory body chaired by the Minister-in-charge, with membership prescribed by government. The Central Government may, by notification, constitute the Central Consumer Protection Council as an advisory body. The Council is chaired by the Minister-in-charge of the Department of Consumer Affairs and includes other official and non-official members in numbers and representing interests as may be prescribed.
