Money changing facilities permit authorised banks, secondary authorised dealers and FFMCs to convert foreign currency and appoint agents. Conversion between foreign currency or foreign-currency travellers' cheques and Indian Rupees is permitted through Authorized Dealer banks, authorized dealers of the secondary category, and Full Fledged Money Changers (FFMCs), each of which may appoint franchisees or agents to purchase foreign currency on their behalf.
