of <h1>FEMA 1999: Attend Compounding Hearings In-Person or Virtually, Attendance Optional, Decision Based on Documents Submitted</h1> Personal hearings for compounding of contraventions under FEMA, 1999, can be attended physically or virtually, but attendance is not mandatory. Individuals may choose not to attend by indicating their preference in writing. The application will be processed based on submitted documents. Opting in or out of the personal hearing does not affect the compounding amount, which is determined according to the computation matrix outlined in the FEMA Directions.
